Vyce and Octavia

Concepts for Vyce and Octavia, the twin oni sisters. Octavia is older and was born a minute earlier, right before midnight. So their birthdays are separated by a day, despite being born a minute apart.

Vyce Final Concept

Vyce outfit explorations, we were pretty quick to commit to the first due to the color scheme and more youthful outfit.

Vyce guitar and logo concepts. I wanted her logo to feel very chaotic and punk rock since she is more wild and rebellious. The logo we went with drew inspirations from various album covers like Blink-182/American Idiot

Though A's guitar was the most plain I felt the other guitars compete with the her outfit and other focial points. So the simple guitar was the best solution here.

Octavia Final Concept

Octavia was a lot harder to design than her sister. She had a pre established gameplay kit, so we had to fit an aesthetic around it. We wanted her theme to be electronic as opposed to rock, early designs featured a boombox of sorts.

Octavia's design was missing some elements that linked them as sisters. I ended up opting for two horns, a singular braid and exchanging the spiky hair with something more blocky to contrast her sister's spiky twin tails.

Her gameplay kit revolves around speed, so I thought stereos integrated into a pair of wings strapped to the hip would be cooler than a boombox. That way she could still go fast while maintaining elegance, befitting of her personality.
